SINGAPORE: A lady was charged on Thursday (May 9) with the murder of a 56-year-old male at a condo along Beach Road.
Li Ye, a 37-year-old Chinese nationwide, is implicated of triggering the death of Lim Lai Guan in a system at City Gate Residences at about 1.40 am on May 8.
The charge sheet did not define the relationship in between Li and Lim, although CNA comprehends that she was his sweetheart.
Appearing in court by means of video-link and speaking through a Mandarin interpreter, Li stated: “It’s really murder I did not mean to murder this individual.”
The prosecution responded that this was not the online forum to go over the case and requested for Li to be remanded.
A District Judge purchased that Li be remanded for a week for examinations. She will go back to court on May 16.
The authorities stated in an earlier news release that the victim was discovered lying unconscious in the system and passed away in health center.
Li was apprehended at the scene and a knife was taken.
The offense of murder brings the death sentence.
