Nigeria Invests €48m to Boost Renewable Energy Programme, Says NESP

The Component Lead, Enabling Environment Nigerian Energy Support Programme (NESP), Joshua Yari, revealedthat Nigeria has actually invested EUR48 million in the 2nd stage of its energy assistance program.

Yari revealed this at a one-day energy top arranged by the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) in cooperation with Abloom Trust Nigeria Ltd on Wednesday in Abuja with the style: “Prospects of Energy Transition Plan”.

He kept in mind that the program was co-funded by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

He stated that the Nigerian federal government would likewise be investing about EUR19m in the 3rd stage.

In his remarks, the Director General of ECN, Dr Mustapha Abdullahi, stated that working together with stakeholders was important to attaining objectives of energy shift in the nation.
