U.S. Navy ships and airplane shot down 15 uncrewed aerial lorry (UAVs) fired by Yemen’s Houthis in the Red Sea location early on Saturday, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated.

The armed force was reacting to a massive attack by “Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists” introduced into the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden in between 4 a.m. and 6:30 a.m (1300-1530 GMT), CENTCOM stated in a post on X.

The UAVs were identified to provide “an impending hazard to merchant vessels, U.S. Navy, and union ships in the area,” it stated. REUTERS
