Ontario authorities are examining a deadly snowmobile crash that took place about 75 kilometres west of Ottawa.

Ontario Provincial Police reacted to a crash on a snowmobile path in McNab-Braeside around 4 p.m. on Saturday, and a 29-year-old chauffeur was noticable dead at the scene. A 33-year-old traveler was required to medical facility through an air ambulance with severe injuries.

Authorities state the area of the path stays closed.

Renfrew OPP continue to examine, with support of accident detectives and reconstructionists.

On Sunday night, Frontenac OPP reported on X, previously Twitter, that another snowmobiler was seriously hurt when they were ejected off the snow maker and struck a tree on the E path in North Frontenac Township.

Paramedics at the scene made the call to airlift the hurt individual to healthcare facility by AirORNGE.
