Tractor-trailer fishtails, leaves ‘a moss’ on Highway 401 Saturday

Ontario Provincial Police social media operators couldn’t resist a pun to describe a truck crash that resulted in the closure of a section of Highway 401 for several hours on Saturday morning.

“What a moss!!” police posted on X/Twitter.

The tractor-trailer carrying a load of peat moss bags fishtailed and slid into the median near Augusta Township.

The driver was not injured, but the load of moss had to be carried off.

“Never drive drowsy!” the message warned.
