The best Presidents Day sales happening now

Presidents Day has us thinking about the upcoming election season — not to mention the hotly contested debates and the inevitable onslaught of presidential memes, some of which are likely to be dangerously believable. Regardless of how you feel about politics, however, the holiday remains a great time to save, especially since many deals go beyond the furniture and big-name appliances that will dominate most circulars in the run-up to the holiday on Monday, February 19th.

We’re already seeing tech sales pop up at trusted retailers like Amazon and Best Buy, where you can find great deals on the gadgets we’ve tried, tested, and wholeheartedly recommend. We’re seeing great prices on devices like Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K Max and the Roomba j7 (our favorite robovac) as well as the original Google Pixel Watch and excellent OLED TVs like Samsung’s 65-inch S95C and LG’s 48-inch C3. We’ve put together a list highlighting the best deals below, which we plan to update throughout the weekend as more deals and discounts drop.

Headphone and earbud deals

With improved comfort, refined sound, and even better active noise cancellation, Sony’s WH-1000XM5 offer a compelling mix of features for the price. They’re even more attractive at $295.20 ($105 off), which is their current price at eBay when you use code PRESIDENT20.

  • The Google Pixel Buds Pro are going for $149.99 ($50 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart, which is just over $20 more than their all-time low. They support newer features like multipoint and spatial audio, too, and come with solid noise cancellation and great battery life. Read our review.
  • Amazon’s second-gen Echo Buds from 2021 are down to $64.99 ($55 off) at Amazon. They’re some of the best earbuds you can buy for the money thanks to their great sound quality, ANC, and passthrough performance. They can be a little thirsty for power, however, which is why you might want to consider picking them up with a wireless charging case at Amazon for $84.99 ($55 off). Read our review.

The Elite 8 Active boast all the hallmarks of a premium pair of Jabra earbuds — good sound, reliability, etc. — while leaning into a more rugged, dustproof design.

When used in tandem, Amazon’s Eero routers offer a solid whole-home Wi-Fi 6 system that’s easy to set up and use. Advanced users might be turned off by their subpar configurability and flexibility, but grabbing a few tri-band routers remains an easy way to outfit a larger home with near-gigabit speeds.

Laptop and tablet deals

We reviewed the 12th Gen Intel model favorably, but it lacked dedicated graphics, and we’d have appreciated better battery life and a sturdier build quality.
  • Apple’s 2021 iPad is on sale in its base configuration for around $249 ($80 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, and Target. It’s outclassed by the 10th-gen model, but at this price, it’s still one of the best value tablets you can buy and the de facto tablet for kids. • Samsung’s 32-inch M8 Smart Monitor is down to $399.99 ($73 off) in white at Amazon.
