The Stormers clinched a 24-20 win against Stade Francais in Paris.

It may have been one of their more tactically clueless matches in memory, but the Stormers made heavy weather of beating Stade Francais in their final Champions Cup group stages game to qualify for the knockout stages.

In what ended up a bonkers game because Stade Francais had their two props sin-binned a minute apart in the final quarter, John Dobson’s side barely held their nerve as they squeaked to their first win in France and their first overseas in over a year. With the two sin-bins in the 67th and 68th minutes, the Stormers were given a gild-edged opportunity to put the game to bed, but instead of streaking away they were only four points ahead when the hosts gained their only scrum penalty in the 78th minute, with one of the props having returned from the bin.
