According to South Korean media outlet Sedaily, SK Hynix is preparing to update its Wuxi Plant. SK Hynix means to update its vibrant random-access memory (DRAM) production devices to the fourth-generation 10nm class chip procedure at its plant in Wuxi, China, this year. Functional specifics are yet to be verified, the Wuxi plant serves as an important center, contributing around 40% of SK Hynix’s DRAM output. The upgrade will allow SK Hynix to keep its market share in the middle of worldwide semiconductor competitors in spite of United States limitations, according to the Chinese media outlet Global Times. Recently, SK Hynix’s president, Kwak Noh-Jung, discussed throughout CES 2024 that the business in 2015 produced an internal group to attend to geopolitical concerns and establish methods to reduce service threats.[[Global Times, in Chinese]

Correction: an earlier variation of this post misidentified the 10nm class chip procedure as the 10nm chip procedure.
