WorkSafe is examining an Auckland building website after a scaffold collapsed and harmed an automobile.

Location supervisor Danielle Henry stated the 6m-high scaffolding fell onto a hectic street about 12.30 pm and badly harmed a passing vehicle.

Other automobiles swerved to prevent the particles.

“It’s fortunate there wasn’t anybody on it at the time which no pedestrians or motorists were seriously hurt,” Henry stated.

She stated WorkSafe was not able to comment on the particular cause of the collapse, which was still being examined.

“Scaffolds can be complicated pieces of engineering and it’s essential that they are created and built by appropriately certified and experienced employees.

“Today’s collapse had the capacity for terrible repercussions.”

Henry advised employees to check any scaffolding on their websites.
