RPGamer has been covering RPGs since 1998, with the current version of the site launched in 2018. Due to the wholesale change in our back-end and systems only certain content created from 2018 onwards has been carried over to our new site. QotW: You specifically cited the Wii U as the looser end of a failed console, and I did buy enough digital games for it that it wasn’t hard drive space that stopped me from getting more. Instead, it was a system-level limitation that stops more than 300 icons from being on the system at any one time (including Settings, the disc icon, and other system stuff).
I bought that in June of 2013, and then bought my first Vita before the end of that August. I apparently had more money than sense that year.
Yep, I have a Wii U as well. Poor, poor Wii U. I did enjoy my time playing, and I still have it hooked up, although when when I have played it during the past few years, it was to play Wii games (I primarily use my Wii to play Game Cube games, of course). I’m currently as to whether or not I should play Pikmin 3 and Hyrule Warrior that I own for Wii U or just buy the Switch versions. I’d rather not rebuy games if I can help it.
You mean every Sega System after Genesis right?
We’re going loose, so I’d say Vita. I bought it after it was pretty much dead thanks to a free DQ Builders code I got. Then I bought a second one not long after because… I can’t really recall why. The number of Vitas matched the number of physical games I bought for it, but I did enjoy a year of PSN Vita sales. Although these days I just play the heck out of emulated games on it. There are still a couple dozen games I bought for it that maybe maybe maybe one day I’ll play.
Vita, PSP, Wii U, Wonderswan Color, NeoGeo Pocket Color, Saturn, Dreamcast.
I had more money than sense at one time. I was of the mind if it had an RPG I will own it.
