Riyadh Season has unveiled a long-term strategic partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Riyadh Season has unveiled a long-term strategic partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), to diversify the activities of 2024 Season, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Saudi Arabia’s Entertainment Authority Chief, Turki Alalshikh, has extended the partnership with UFC to host another UFC event in the Kingdom during the 2024-2025 Riyadh Season.

UFC is the most prominent Mixed Martial Arts organization in the world that has revolutionized the fight business and today stands as a premium global sports brand.

Kingdom Arena in Riyadh will host the first Saudi UFC event on June 22 as middleweight contenders Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev battle in a highly anticipated matchup.

Commenting on this promising partnership, Alalshikh said: “This agreement is a continuation of Riyadh Season’s aims to host and partner with prominent and international events of mass interest.”

The season will also host the Power Slap event for the first time, representing a significant push towards hosting the most notable events in the world.

Furthermore, Riyadh Season will be a sponsor for UFC 306 on September 14, 2024, to be held in Las Vegas.

Aiming at positioning the Kingdom as an international destination for all worldwide competitions and matches, Riyadh Season will host the heavyweight boxing clash between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk on May 18.

Fury announced his withdrawal from the bout that was scheduled for February due to a cut during sparring. However, the showdown is back again and promises unforgettable competition in the boxing world.
