Red Sea International Airport to Receive First International Flight on April 18

Red Sea International Airport will receive the first international flight operated by the Emirates airline “Flydubai”, coming from “Dubai International Airport”, on Thursday, April 18, reported Al Arabiya. This marks the inauguration of the new international route, with two flights per week to the Red Sea Airport on Thursdays and Sundays to coincide with domestic flights. – Riyadh and Jeddah – regularly scheduled.

This step will serve the residents of the Red Sea regions located on the western coast of Saudi Arabia. The “airport” will connect them to the world through the city of Dubai, to open up to different cultures and communicate with the world. In addition, it will serve as a a focal point in global air navigation routes.

It is the closest to one of the most beautiful destinations distinguished by its charming terrain, golden beaches, and picturesque marine environment. This establishes the name of Saudi Arabia on the global tourism map, and develops the region economically.

The CEO of The Red Sea Development Company, John Pagano, said that The Red Sea International Airport is located within a 3-hour flight distance for 250 million people. It serves 1million guests annually while the airport is operating at full capacity.

Pagano added that they look forward to welcome passengers from UAE and the Middle East. The Red Sea Company stressed that it is committed to providing its services to travelers and airlines alike. Moreover, it aims to expand it network to serve Red Sea destinations and travelers from all over the world.

The Red Sea International Airport is the first carbon-neutral airport in the Middle East. It uses innovative sustainability solutions in all operations to eliminate carbon emissions, improve energy consumption, and enhance efficiency in resource and waste management.

The airport uses local materials during the design stages and incorporating other elements, such as 100% renewable energy. It aims to meet minimum LEED certification standards, and reducing light pollution to meet “dark sky” guidelines.
