The Royal Family could finally be mended, with Prince Harry reportedly keen to patch things up.

According to reports, Harry is open to working things out with his father, King Charles, and the rest of his family. Fixing their relationship would also mean that his two children, Archie and Lilibet, would also be able to build a strong relationship with their cousins and grandparents. Reports speculate that Harry has realised there is “no Plan B” when it comes to his future and believes that mending fences is the way forward.

The reports come after the Duke of Sussex recently visited his father after Buckingham Palace announced that Charles had cancer. Harry travelled from California to London to see Charles, which is believed to be their first private conversation in 15 months. The pair’s relationship has been famously fraught since Harry stepped down as being a senior royal following his bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview and revealing autobiography, Spare.

A royal source told OK! magazine that the the Duke wants to “put an end to the feud” and “regrets the way that things have turned out.”

The source also believes that Harry thinks patching things up with the Royal Family is the only option. They said: “I think there’s no plan B for Harry, patching things up with his family is the only option. It’s finally hit home how difficult it will be to repair the damage caused by the various swipes at his family over the years.”

Harry’s former friend told The Mirror that he believes Harry no longer has his family to “lean back on” after the explosive claims. Edward Charles Featherstone, a pseudonym chosen by one of Harry’s former polo playing pals, said: “I think not having a close connection to your parents for whatever reason, whether you are royalty as in the case of William and Harry, or if you’ve lost a parent as did William and Harry, if your father is the future King of England, all of those things creates an independence.”

He also said that this would have mean that Harry doesn’t have “the bosom of [his] family to kind of lean back on, to rely on” and suggested it will likely have been “very difficult” for the Duke.
