Prime Minister reached ‘new levels of incoherence’ with tax cut changes

Deputy Opposition leader Sussan Ley claims the Prime Minister has reached “new levels of incoherence” when defending the government’s latest changes to the stage three tax cuts.

“I think, mark this day in your calendar because he basically gave up on having any ideas to ease the cost of living crisis,” she told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

“Can you imagine Paul Keating or Bob Hawke sitting in an interview and saying they’ve run out of ideas?

“He actually had that in one of his answers at the press club.”

On Thursday, Mr Albanese spoke at the National Press Club to defend amending the stage three tax cuts before they’re implemented in July.
