A Ghanaian nurse at the Red Zone Unit of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Zeinab Mohammed Amin, has actually been sentenced to 6 years jail time with tough labour for attacking her partner.
Zeinab is implicated of putting warm water on her hubby after they had an argument over his rejection to permit her to drive his cars and truck.
According to Zeinab, who is a mom of 2 kids, she acted in self-defense due to the fact that her partner was violent.
Trial judge His Lordship Justice Eric Ankoma disagreed with her defence and sentenced her to 6 years in jail with tough labour.
Her spouse on the other hand is being dealt with at the Burns Unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
