New single Dreamspeak is an effective declaration of reclaiming one’s power and voice while in a twilight state. The irresistibly appealing piano-lead, synth-soaked indie pop track is launched today along with a main video. Nisa shares, “I as soon as spoke with somebody that not having the ability to interact in your dreams is a reflection of your waking life’s sense of not being heard. I thought of composing “Dreamspeak” as an undoing of this sensation, where my dream-self might face me and provide me my voice back.”

Fittingly opening with a track entitled “Ready … Set!,” the brand-new collection is a journey towards self-acceptance, self-actualization and a meaningful sense of identity. As a child of Albanian immigrants, Nisa matured listening to conventional folk music. As a young adult living in New York City and studying in London, she was presented to the world of English-speaking popular song and enamored by artists like Björk, Peter Gabriel and PJ Harvey. Shapeshifting is a reflection of this interest in forward-thinking noises– surrounded by confusing processed electronic devices, chunky guitars, gauzy vocals and uncommon melodic options.
While her previous output was buoyed by sporadic indie rock, Nisa worked carefully with regular partner Ronnie DiSimone (aka Torna)who produced, combined and co-engineered the brand-new collection. Nisa’s transformative launching album Shapeshifting provides a more lavish and vibrant variation of Nisa’s special brand name of off-kilter electro-pop and speculative punk, while constantly keeping her imposing singing expertise front and.
