A minimum of 45 individuals are dead after a bus crash on the R518, near Mokopane, Limpopo, on Thursday night.

The Department of Transport stated the bus was thought to be carrying travelers from Botswana to Moria.

Transportation Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga was rerouted to the scene while on her method to awareness operations in Limpopo.

A representative for the provincial transportation department, Tidimalo Chuene, informed News24 emergency situation services were combing the scene in Mamatlakala Road, where the bus appeared to have actually reviewed a cliff.
