Initially from Iowa, and now based in Nashville, non-conformist nation female XOLEX, aka Alexis Curran, reveals her newest single, “Daisy Dukes,” co-written and produced by Nashville veterans Troy Johnson (Keith Urban, Sara Evans, Montgomery Gentry) and Bonnie Baker (Reba, Hunter Hayes, Rachel Platten).
According to XOLEX “‘Daisy Dukes’ actually originates from me transferring to a huge city and chasing my dreams, I’m understood for being a gypsy and taking a trip a lot and my moms and dads have actually constantly informed me not to forget my roots, I seem like this was my motivation behind the track.”
XOLEX, pronounced like her sign-off, XO, Lex, matured in the village of Chariton, Iowa, where she started composing tunes early on. Later on, she and her good friends were constantly on the lookout for something brand-new and amazing to do.
“There wasn’t much to do so my pals and I would do the craziest things like drifting down an unclean river or go ‘wheeling’ and ‘mudding’ which was essentially simply us four-wheeling and driving huge trucks around in the mud on a rainy day. Recalling, it’s so amusing to me,” shares XOLEX.
After high school, XOLEX participated in Iowa State University. When the pandemic hit, she decided to raise her songwritingProvided an agreement that she ignored since it was a bad offer, she stood firm and grew through everything.
XOLEX states, “No matter what, my energy promotes itself, and I hope that individuals can feel that and get in touch with me through my music, to understand they’re not alone.”
