Murder investigation launched in Southwark

A murder examination is underway in Southwark after a guy passed away from knife injuries at Old Kent Road.

Authorities were called at 06:52 hrs on Tuesday, 9 January to reports of a hurt guy on Old Kent Road, SE1.

Officers, London’s Air Ambulance [HEMS] and London Ambulance Service [LAS] participated in. At the scene, a 47-year-old male was discovered with knife injuries.

Regardless of the efforts of emergency situation services to conserve him, the victim regretfully passed away at the scene at 07:22 hrs.

A murder examination was released, led by Detective Chief Inspector Mike Nolan of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.

DCI Nolan stated: “Early signs are that the stabbing happened inside a property address near to where the victim was discovered by members of the general public.

2 individuals, a 54-year-old male and a 38-year-old lady were apprehended on suspicion of murder. Both were required to south London police headquarters where they stay at this time.
