Most satisfying to show how strong Israel is, windsurfer says after winning gold at World Championship

“I’m a world champ,’ Israeli windsurfer Sharon Kantor informed Israel’s KAN 11 news in an interview on Sunday early morning after winning a gold medal at the iQFoil World Championship, kept in the Canary Islands.

“It’s extremely interesting nowadays to base on the podium and hear [the Israeli national anthem] ‘HaTivka’ [The Hope]It’s extremely effective, I was happy. I can’t absorb the insane accomplishment, I’m a world champ,” Kantor stated throughout the interview on the Reshet Bet radio program.

“At the start of the war, it was extremely tough to focus on training, and not let what was occurring interfere. If I represent the nation – that’s my objective,” Kantor continued.

“By being on the podium, Katy and I, we demonstrated how strong Israel is– that’s the most gratifying.”

Kantor thanked everybody near to her: “There is no household that’s as encouraging [as mine]consisting of pals in your home, sponsors and the cruising association.”

The 21-year-old windsurfer won the gold medal last night at the World Championship kept in the Canary Islands.

Professional athletes who took top place at the competition protected an area at the Paris Olympics to be held this summer season.

Kati Spychakov, after winning the bronze medal, signed up with Kantor on the podium.
