Groot Constantia Wine Estate remains in the Constantia Wine Appellation and is positioned on the lower folds of the Constantia Mountain. The land was approved to previous Dutch Governor, Simon van der Stel, after whom Stellenbosch was called. White wines from the Estate developed a golden age for Cape Wine in the late 1700s and early 1800s. Kings, political leaders and well-known authors all had Constantia Wine in their Cellars. I was lucky some years back to taste an 1809 Constantia Wine– excessive feeling included to be able to be sincere about it, nevertheless, it was tasty and still extremely alive.

Fermented and developed in French Oak Barrels, some very first fill, others previous fill. Rather of batonnage, the barrels were rolled frequently to disperse the lees which include additional taste buds weight and flavour to the supreme white wine.

You would succeed to cool cellar this white wine for a number of years, you will be rewarded.

The Groot Constantia Chardonnay 2022 is produced food. It has the zest to handle some incredible flavours, a mild curry, roasted pork tummy.
