Marcos vetoes 2 budget provisions

2 days after signing the 2024 General Appropriations Act, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. banned 2 of its arrangements, one including the Department of Justice (DoJ) revolving fund and the other the application of the federal government’s Career Executive Service Development Program, Malacañang stated Friday.

The Palace stated that in a letter to Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez dated December 20, the President stated there is no law that licenses the DoJ to develop a revolving fund “for the function showed therein.”
