Man treated for ‘minor injuries’ in shooting incident Thursday on Bentley Avenue

Ottawa police said Friday that a man was treated for “minor injuries” at a shooting incident Thursday afternoon in the Nepean district.

Police said in a release that they responded at 2:55 p.m. to the 1-100 block of Bentley Avenue, following several 911 calls of shots fired.

Bentley is an industrial area off Merivale Road.

The wounded man was located at the scene, was treated and released, police said. Police did not specify whether the person was shot.

Anyone with information on the case, or with cellphone footage, or any other video of the incident is asked to contact the police guns and gangs unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5050.
