Man on murder rap after body found wrapped in sheet

A 30-year-old man is now facing several charges following the murder of a man whose body was found wrapped in a sheet on March 23.

Neko Gordon of Bethune Avenue, Rose Town, Kingston 13 has been charged with murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition and use of a firearm to commit a felony following the incident, which occurred on Spanish Town Road in St Andrew.

Dead is 27-year-old Kamory Forbes of North Avenue, Greenwich Farm, Kingston 13.

Reports from the police are that about 9:35am, the police, acting on information, found the body of the now deceased lying on its back and wrapped in a sheet.

On May 2, Gordon was apprehended by the police and taken into custody.

A search warrant was executed and a Taurus 9mm pistol was found in an abandoned building located to the back of his house on the same premises.

The police said he was interviewed, after which he was charged based on eyewitness statements that reportedly implicated him.

His court date is being finalised, the police said.
