A 51-year-old female passed away Saturday early morning after the automobile she remained in hit another that remained in the incorrect lane on Highway 50 in Lachute.
Sûreté du Québec representative Frédéric Deshaies stated the accident took place prior to 5 a.m. at kilometre 260 of the highway.

“When law enforcement officers got here, a 51-year-old female was moved to a medical facility in crucial condition. She passed away of her injuries,” Deshaies stated.
“A 35-year-old male was detained for (declared) impaired driving by alcohol. A blood sample was required to identify his level of intoxication.
