SINGAPORE: The home electrical power and gas tariffs will reduce for the April to June duration due to lower energy expenses.
Compared to the previous quarter, the electrical energy tariff will reduce by 0.3 percent or 0.10 cent per kWh before Goods and Services Tax (GST), nationwide grid operator SP Group stated on Thursday (Mar 28).
This equates to a reduction in the typical regular monthly electrical power costs for households residing in HDB four-room flats by S$ 0.33 (US$ 0.24) before GST.
The gas tariff before GST will likewise reduce by 0.03 cents per kWh, from 23.15 cents per kWh to 23.12 cents per kWh for the coming quarter, stated City Energy.
