The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the setup of Akintola, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) occurred within the properties of the council secretariat.

Amongst those present at the occasion were Akintola’s spouse, Justice Rachel Akintolaa previous Oyo State Head of Service, Alhaja Ololade Agboola and the state Commissioner for Information, Dotun Oyelade

Speaking at the event, Akintola revealed joy with the honour, explaining it as unmatched in the history of the council location.

He stated that this would be the very first time that all conventional rulers in Ido city government would collectively back a person for conferment of a chieftaincy title.

“For the standard rulers in the Ido city government location to have actually counted me worthwhile for the Asiwaju of Ido title out of all the children and children of Ido land, it is extraordinary.
