Television Return Amid Legal Woes?

Jussie Smollett‘s legal problems are far from over … however it looks as though he’s working overtime to get his profession back on track.
The struggling star was seen reuniting with “Empire” showrunner Brett Mahoney … with the duo sharing a hug Thursday outside Crossroads Kitchen in Los Angeles.
The sighting activated speculation of a possible future collab … though any television return is reasonably a long method off for Jussie as he handles his individual and legal concerns.
Sources informed us right before Xmas … Jussie was still in the middle of a rehabilitation stint for drug abuse … after examining himself into an outpatient center in back in October.
He just recently lost his appeal after being founded guilty for lying to police officers about the phony Chicago hate criminal offense attack back in 2019.
Jussie’s attorneys state they’ll continue their battle in the Illinois Supreme Court, although there’s no warranty the Court will hear the case.
If the Court turns thumbs down on hearing the case, Jussie might go back to prison as quickly as January to finish his 150 day sentence … he’s just served 6 days.
It looks like Jussie’s putting in the work on improving himself … and was even spotted reading Matthew Perry‘s book on his drug abuse fight previously this month.
