Jamaica College acting primary Wayne Robinson states there is a clear predisposition versus his school following a current choice by ISSA to toss out an appeal for 2 of their abroad professional athletes to be qualified for this year’s ISSA Boys and Girls Athletics Championships.
ISSA president Keith Wellington states there is no such predisposition. The 2 professional athletes, long range runners Evans Tetteh and Dominic Amponsah from Ghana, were ruled disqualified to contend at this year’s champions set for March 19-23.
Both professional athletes showed up in Jamaica on October 4, 2023. ISSA’s guideline specifies that to be qualified to contend at any competitors within the exact same academic year, a trainee should remain in school by September 30 of that academic year the most recent.
