A 33-year-old Indian trainee passed away in a mishap after being run over by a truck while biking back to her home in main London recently. Cheistha Kochar, who had earlier operated at NITI Aayog, was pursuing a PhD in Behavioural Science from the London School of Economics.

Cheistha Kochar was the child of retired Lieutenant General Dr SP Kochhar, Director General at Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).

In a psychological post on LinkedIn, he stated that he is still in London “attempting to gather the remains of my child, Cheistha Kochhar”.

“She was run over by a truck on 19 Mar while biking back from LSE, where she was doing her PhD. It has actually ravaged us and her big circle of good friends.
