Larry David has had a busy week promoting the final season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” attacking Elmo on live TV and intimidating reporters on the premiere’s red carpet. The 76 year-old, who claims this season will actually be the long-running comedy’s final season, is ready to make a few more enemies before bidding farewell.

Season 12 premieres on Max on Sunday, Feb. 4. at 7 p.m. PT/ 10 p.m. ET. The best way to stream the new season, which will drop weekly episodes every Sunday, is to sign up for a Max account, with plans starting at $9.99/Month.

The logline for the premiere episode, titled “Atlanta,” states that “Larry heads to Georgia to appear at the birthday party of a prominent businessman, while Leon takes the opportunity to visit his Auntie Rae.”

In the Season 12 trailer, released last month, Larry bickers with his usual combatants — Cheryl Hines, Richard Lewis, Ted Danson and of course Susie Essman — as well as a slew of guest stars including Dan Levy, Sean Hayes, Vince Vaughn and Tracey Ullman, who reprises her role as City Councilwoman Irma Kostroski. Series mainstays Jeff Garlin and J.B. Smoove also return.

While David has famously stated that the show will come to an end many times in the past, the cable network is, for the first time, definitively promoting the next batch of episodes as David‘s “final season.”

“As ‘Curb’ comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this ‘Larry David’ persona and become the person God intended me to be – the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character,” David said in a statement. “And so ‘Larry David,’ I bid you farewell. Your misanthropy will not be missed. And for those of you who would like to get in touch with me, you can reach me at Doctors Without Borders.”

Throughout Season 12, David is hitting the road to discuss “Seinfeld,” “Curb” and more at a pair of live tour dates. The comedian will join a mystery moderator in Washington, D.C., on March 29 at The Anthem, and in Boston on April 1 at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway. Tickets for “A Conversation With Larry David” are available here.
