Once you get your footing in Palworld, with all its different Peal types, guns, and survival mechanics, you will realize that a good chunk of your attention needs to be placed on making sure you have all the necessary materials. This isn’t a game where you can just grind XP and brute force your way to victory. In Palworld, crafting is king, and that means you need materials. A lot of them, such as Paldium, can eventually be automated at your base with the help of some Pals, but specific things like leather aren’t as easy to stockpile. This is amaterial that only drops from specific Pals, so let’s run through what you need to do to get some Leather in Palworld.
How to get Leather
Like High Quality Pal Oil, leather is a drop from only some Pals. The good news is you won’t have to look too hard to find one since they aren’t nearly as rare as a Legendary. Here are all the Pals we’ve witnessed drop Leather when defeated or captured:

- Foxparks
- Fuack
- Grizzbolt
- Katress
- Mammorest
- Melpaca
- Nitewing
- Ribbuny
- Rooby
- Rushoar

One little trick you can take advantage of is to first catch one of these Pals to get a leather drop, then use the meat cleaver to kill them and get a second drop.
You can also buy as much leather as you want from the Wandering Merchant for 150 Gold each.

All Legendary locations
There are currently four Legendary Pals in Palworld: Jetragon, Frostallion, Necromus, and Paladius. Aside from their raw power, Legendaries in Palworld also have exclusive Legend-level passive skills that give them +20% in Attack and Defense and plus +15% in Movement Speed.
Jetragon
Jetragon is a Dragon-type Pal you can ride as a flying mount that resides in the western region of the map near the volcanoes. You can find it by going north from the Beach of Everlasting Summer fast travel point at coordinates -792, -319.

The first is the recycling center on Aloha Beach. This woman will exchange any trash you collect from the beach for points you can spend on various items in her stock. One such item is, of course, the Shark Fin. This is one of the most expensive items she has, however, so it will take a lot of trash collecting to earn enough points. You must also consider that she only has three, so you can’t spend all day gathering bottles and cans to stock up.

To start off simply, however, we can speak about just doing the main campaign. You won’t be able to just mainline the story here without hitting a wall where you just won’t be strong enough to progress, but if you do as little optional content as possible, you can expect to put in 45 hours or more to complete it.
