HazMat specialists called for leaking chlorine tank at east end wave pool

Ottawa Fire Services HazMat experts were dispatched to the Splash Wave Pool in the 2000 block of Ogilvie Road Sunday early morning.

At about 8:16 a.m., a swimming pool staff member reported a chlorine gas leakage from among the upkeep spaces.

Firemens showed up on scene 4 minutes after the call and validated that about 30 individuals had actually left from the structure.

Experts situated the leaking 100-pound tank and eliminated it from the structure.

Firemens evaluated one worker who was feeling upset and light-headed. There was no instant word on the individual’s condition.

The HazMat Team confirmed every space in the structure for readings of chlorine and they were all at no.

The occurrence ended at about 9:27 a.m.
