Shooters on Friday abducted the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Abia State University (ABSU), Prof. Godwin Emezue.
The representative for the Abia State cops command, Maureen Chinaka, who verified the occurrence in a declaration on Saturday in Umuahia, stated the DVC was abducted while acquiring fuel at a gas station in Umuekwu Amachara, Umuahia South city government location of the state.

She stated: “During the occurrence, the hooligans seized his better half’s ATM card, dragged the Deputy Vice-Chancellor into a Lexus SUV, and repelled with the victim.
“The Abia State Police Command is releasing resources and possessions consisting of intelligence and technical help towards deciphering the criminal activity, and securely saving the victim from his captors.”
