German delegates visit SPMVV, discuss collaboration opportunities

Sri Padmavati Mahila Viswa Vidyalayam (SPMVV) is concentrating on teaming up with foreign universities.

A group of delegates from the University of Magdeburg, Heidelberg University, University of Cologne and Freie Universitat, Germany, went to the SPMVV school just recently under the ‘Universities-Indo-German S&T Cooperation’ occasion at the wish of Dr. Ramanuj Banerjee, Science Counsellor, Embassy of India in Germany.

Ing Jens Strackeljan, Rector of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Susanne Schmidt, Vice-Rector for Studies and Teaching and Deans, and other directors and heads of the German organizations took part in the conversations together with SPMVV Vice-Chancellor D. Bharathi and NIT Meghalaya Director Pinakeswar Mahanta, to name a few.

Mr. Bharathi highlighted the extraordinary scope of academics and research study at SPMVV and looked for cooperation on trainee movement, joint research study efforts, dual/double degree programs and professors exchange programs. The delegates promised assistance for much deeper engagement and collaboration in between German universities and Indian institutes.
