Gatineau police seeking missing 55-year-old man

He was last seen wearing a black winter coat, black jogging pants and a blue Montreal Canadiens toque with an attached pompom.

Gatineau police requested public assistance in locating a 55-year-old man who had been last seen walking from his house in the city’s Rivière-Blanche neighbourhood early Thursday afternoon.

Police and those knowing Luc Labelle had reason to fear for his health and safety and wanted to ensure his well-being, a late-afternoon news release said.

He is an adult with a developmental disability, standing five feet six inches (168 centimetres tall) and weighing about 200 pounds (90 kilograms), having brown hair and brown eyes.

He may be using public transit, the release said.

Anyone with information about Labelle’s whereabouts was asked to contact Gatineau police at 819-246-0222.
