4 individuals, consisting of a juvenile, were jailed by the Jayamangalam authorities in Theni district on Friday and remanded in judicial custody.
Cops stated on Saturday that an unique group led by SI of Police Murugaperumal were on task and associated with automobile checks.
When the group obstructed a vehicle rickshaw, 4 individuals consisting of the vehicle chauffeur abused the cops workers and one amongst them unexpectedly displayed an aruval. 3 others seated in the car tried to toss nation bombs at them.
The cops stated that they subdued the armed gang and jailed them.
Based upon a problem from the SI, the 4 individuals T. Suryaprakash (24 ), P. Prabhu (30) and 2 others from Gandhi Nagar Colony, Jayamangalam, were jailed. The authorities scheduled them under IPC Sections 294 b, 353, 307, 506 (ii), checked out with Explosives Substance Act and under Section 25 of Indian Arms Act. 2 nation bombs and aruval were taken.
