Parker and other scientists in the Methane Emission Removal Project are establishing a driver that can transform methane to co2. In general, farming practices and waste generation are accountable for about 28 percent of the worlds methane emissions.

If we do our task actually well, within the next 5 years, we will have the ability to decrease the operating temperature level of this driver in such a way that is net useful to the environment and possibly even financially incentivized for the farmer and for society, states Desire Plata, an associate teacher of civil and ecological engineering who leads the Methane Emission Removal Project.
