Essex County OPP charged 34 with impaired driving during festive RIDE

Ontario Provincial Police in Essex County charged 34 people with impaired driving offences resulting in a total of 59 impaired-driving related charges during this year’s Festive RIDE campaign.

Seven drivers had their licence suspended for roadside tests in the warning range during the campaign, which ran from Nov. 16 to Jan. 1.

Police set up 247 check points across Essex County in this year’s RIDE program.

Across the west region, police laid 353 impaired driving charges and issued 55 driving suspensions due to test results in the warning range.
