Eminem to co-produce documentary on superfans

Eminem is co-producing a documentary on the world of superfans, called Stans.

The name of the doco is drawn from his hit tune, Stan, which created the term explaining the fanatical and often delusional superfan.

“Stans will be the chance for us to turn the video camera around and ask the audience about being fans – and sometimes, enthusiasts. This is a research study of the relationship in between fanbase and artist through the lens of among Eminem’s a lot of interesting tunes and among the world’s essential performers,” stated the rap artist’s supervisor Paul Rosenberg in a declaration.

The 15-time Grammy winner will resolve his business Shady Films to make the documentary, which is set to air later on this year through Paramount and MTV.

Eminem’s tune Stan was launched in 2000 and included Dido. It informs the story of a consumed fan who eliminates himself and his sweetheart after Eminem stops working to react to his letters. The story wasn’t based on real occasions, it was influenced by the rap artist’s experiences.

In 2017, The Oxford English Dictionary included the term Stan to its pages.
