Devils-Rangers: a 10-player free-for-all breaks out at the start of the match

Tonight, the Rangers and Devils satisfied for the very first time given that Matt Rempe’s examine Jonas Siegenthaler. The Rangers forward had actually been suspended for 4 video games … and the Devils weren’t precisely pleased about it.

There was rather a bit of stress in the air … and it didn’t take long for it to reveal on the ice.

Before the video game even began, Rempe remained in the Rangers’ beginning line-up, as was Kurtis MacDermid (a goon) for the Devils.

In the end, it wasn’t simply Rempe and MacDermid who tossed down the gloves: all 10 skaters on the ice were combating from the start.

In all, no less than 8 guys were dispatched early in the video game. Just Curtis Lazar and Jimmy Vesey were not ejected, due to the fact that the referees ruled that they were the ones who got the ball rolling (and for that reason not part of the “secondary action”).
