China issues 95 game licenses for April, including for Tencent’s Carbon Island and NetEase’s Broken Land

The National Press and Publication Administration of China (NPPA) on Friday launched 95 approval licenses for domestic video games for April, consisting of 94 mobile video games, 7 PC video games, and one PlayStation console video game. April’s 95 licenses are a reduction compared to March’s 107 authorized titles, and the 111 and 115 okayed in February and January respectively. The much-anticipated video games in the current round of approvals consist of Tencent’s Carbon Island, NetEase’s Broken Land, Sony China’s Lost Soul Aside, Archosaur Games’ Dragon Raja: Gate of Cassell, and Kingnet Network’s The Lost Tomb.
