The Express Entry method aims to reduce the time it takes to process applications, allowing CIC to find the best immigrants.
If you want to apply for permanent residency via one of these programs:
Federal Skilled Workers Program
This initiative is looking for people with specific types of work experience and skills. To apply for this scheme, you must also intend to live somewhere other than Quebec.
Canadian Experience Class
This program seeks applicants who have legally worked in Canada and possess the necessary skills and work experience.
Federally Skilled Trades
This program is aiming for those who have experience in the trade in question. Applicants for this programme must also intend to live outside the United States.
Provincial Nominee Programs in Particular
The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) includes distinct streams and standards for each province and territory. If you are chosen for one of these programmes, you may be eligible to use the Express Entry System to expedite the processing of your file.
The new system will allow you to enter information more quickly.
With the Express Entry System, the applicant must create an electronic profile of himself or herself and submit it to CIC. ImmigCanada can walk you through the process and help you submit the best profile for you.

Filling out an online Express Entry profile or entering the pool does not guarantee you will receive an Invitation to Apply for Permanent Residence.
The government’s goal is to process the majority of application for permanent residency in within six months. (This time period begins when they receive your entire application and ends when they make a final decision on your application for permanent residency.)
