Alex Newhook trained with his teammates

After simply over a week off, with the All-Star occasion in between, the Habs were back at work this afternoon.

On the ice in Brossard, the young boys extended their legs. Obviously, there were a lot of things to watch on, consisting of the existence of Sean Monahan. Oh no, never ever mind, he left for Winnipeg throughout the break.

By the method, here he remains in his brand-new colors.

The 4 centers are Nick Suzuki, Jake Evans, the most just recently signed, Brandon Gignac, and among the most just recently remembered, Lucas Condotta.

We should not dismiss Alex Newhook’s name too rapidly from this center line. He trained with his colleagues (in a routine jersey) this afternoon for the very first time given that his injury. Will he remain in uniform for the next video game? We still do not understand. He’s coming back from a significant injury, and it might take more than a practice with the others to get back into the swing of things.

Newy is back at training with the entire group!

A minimum of he’s here!

Now, will he play wing or?

When It Comes To Brandon Gignac, he’s here too. Bear in mind that he signed an NHL agreement today.

He will use number 74.

Brandon Gignac uses 74. Unless he speaks Russian, and I do not understand, he’s the very first non-Russian speaker to use it in Canadiens history.

With Nick Suzuki’s hectic weekend, you ‘d believe he ‘d get a day of rest.

No. He’s here, like a great captain, with the remainder of the group. It’s real that Toronto and Brossard are succeeding, however …

Alex Newhook seems a complete individual at Canadiens practice. And Nick Suzuki is likewise on the ice after a hectic weekend.

There are no absentees.

The Canadiens will be back in action on Tuesday. Martin St-Louis’ group will remain in Washington to deal with the Capitals.

The identity of the goaltender has actually not been exposed, however I ‘d like to believe that Samuel Montembeault, the group’s number-one goaltender, will safeguard the cage versus Alexander Ovechkin and his gang.

We’ll see what comes out of the rest of training.
