The recent helicopter crash involving Herbert Wigwe, the Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, has sent shockwaves through the global community. The United States National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has now released images from the crash site near the California-Nevada border, providing a glimpse into the scale of this tragic event.
The accident involved an Airbus EC130 helicopter, which went down close to Halloran Springs. The crash claimed the lives of Herbert Wigwe, his wife Doreen, their son Chizi Wigwe, and Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the former Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group. NTSB’s investigation
The NTSB has been diligently investigating the crash site, with images showing investigators meticulously combing through the wreckage. The debris field, extending approximately 100 yards, contained all major components of the helicopter.
These included rotor blades, transmission, engine, tail rotor, landing gear skids, and various avionics components.
Michael Graham, a board member with the NTSB, provided an update on the investigation. He revealed that the first full day of investigation included aerial drone mapping, comprehensive site documentation, and a detailed examination of the debris field.
