Sources have told us that Arsenal admire both Neto and Toney and continued their checks on the two players on Saturday.

Neto is a winger by trade, but the Portugal international started up front for Wolves in a 3-4-2-1 formation.

The 23-year-old took three shots of which two were on target, played three key passes, had a pass accuracy of 84%, took 86 touches, attempted three dribbles, and put in 13 crosses.

Paul Merson likes Pedro Neto

Former Arsenal star Paul Merson is a big fan of Neto. The Sky Sports pundit has previously said that the winger would be a brilliant signing for the Gunners.

Merson told SportsKeeda in October 2023: “Pedro Neto now looks like the excellent player we all expected him to become. Before his injury, he was like a speedboat without a driver – he was beating players for fun but there was no end product. He was making the wrong decisions too many times.

“With the way Neto’s playing now, I’d be surprised if he’s still at Wolves at the end of January. Apart from Liverpool, I don’t think there’s a top team that wouldn’t be interested in him. He’d be a great addition to Arsenal, with the way they rely on their wingers.”

Neto has made 106 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. He has scored 11 goals and given 18 assists in those games.
