‘Practical Magic’ Max series dead, but another spinoff in the works

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 9 (UPI)– Practical Magic manufacturer Denise Di Novi informed UPI the streaming series in advancement for Max is no longer in the works. Di Novi teased another Practical Magic job.

“There is something else that’s going to occur that is still a trick,” Di Novi informed UPI in Los Angeles interview for her approaching FX series The Veil“But, I believe the fans are going to be delighted.”

Prior to the launch of Max, initially called HBO Max, authors Melissa Rosenberg and Dan Baratta were composing a series adjustment of The Rules of Magic Guidelines was author Alice Hoffman’s prequel book, including the characters of Frannie and Jet as young witches.

The 1998 movie adjustment Practical Magic starred Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as the nieces of Frannie and Jet. There will not be a Guidelines of Magic series, however Di Novi has more strategies to review the franchise.

“It’s not The Rules of Magic which I did establish for tv however it’s in the world of Practical Magic,” Di Novi stated. “Something remains in the works.”
