Vice President Shettima snubbed in Super Eagles dressing room

Wrong time, wrong move it was for Nigeria‘s Vice President Kashim Shettima in the Super Eagles dressing room as the Nigerian national team had no time to celebrate politics but rather a Nigeria legend.

Following their triumphant victory against South Africa, football legends Jay-Jay Okocha and Kanu Nwankwo, alongside Vice President Kashim Shettima, paid a visit to the Super Eagles in their dressing room.

However, an unexpected snub unfolded as the players notably disregarded Shettima, opting to embrace and congratulate Kanu Nwankwo instead.

The incident occurred following the Super Eagles’ hard-fought win over South Africa in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Despite Shettima’s presence to extend congratulations on behalf of the Federal Government, the players directed their attention solely towards Kanu Nwankwo, seemingly ignoring the vice president’s gesture.

Nevertheless, amidst the awkward encounter, Vice President Shettima conveyed the government’s pride and appreciation for the team’s achievement, emphasizing Nigeria’s support and admiration for their dedication.
