Out promoting Matthew Vaughn’s brand-new spy thriller/comedy “Argylle,” star Sam Rockwell states he ‘d gladly go back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Rockwell starred in “Iron Man 2” as the movie’s secondary bad guy Justin Hammer, a military professional and competitor to Tony Stark who hired Ivan Vanko/Whiplash (Mickey Rourke) in an effort to lower Stark and duplicate the Arc Reactor innovation.
We last saw him in the post-credits of the “All Hail the King” brief movie where he was put behind bars in Seagate Penitentiary doing an interview for a documentary and apparently with a prisoner sweetheart.
Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night, he was inquired about a possible look in the “Armor Wars” motion picture. He states: “well, I’m awaiting the call” before joking that: “I’m growing the beard and whatever.”
He includes that though it has actually been a while because he played Hammer, he’s “in” if Marvel desires him to return. “Armor Wars,” initially developed as a series before being reconfigured as a movie, sees James Rhodes challenge among Tony Stark’s biggest worries when Stark’s Iron Man tech falls under the incorrect hands.
