Farming and Agri-Food Canada
An overall of $6.8 million in financing was revealed today by Canada’s Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Lawrence MacAulay and Saskatchewan Agriculture Minister David Marit for animals and forage research study activities.
Offered through the Agriculture Development Fund (ADF) under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP), this financial investment will support an overall of 30 brand-new research study tasks for 2024. This year’s financing is an almost 14% boost compared to in 2015.
This year’s tasks, which are granted financing on a yearly competitive basis, concentrate on subjects such as the advancement of a fast and delicate pathogen monitoring approach for Bovine Respiratory Disease in livestock, advancement of brand-new red clover cultivars for Western Canada, and African Swine Fever readiness with a concentrate on assessing manure management and treatment techniques and comprehending pathogen survival in death management.
